Membership and rules

How to become a member

A membership in the Music Association is valid for six months at a time.
When the period ends, the membership must be renewed.

The membership periods run from:

  • 1 January – 30 June
  • 1 July – 31 December

The price for a six-month membership is 100 DKK for individuals and 200 DKK for bands.

To create or renew your membership, you must:

  1. Transfer 100 or 200 DKK to Registration no. 4645 Account no. 12548265 (cash payment is not accepted).
    Any fees for transfers made from outside the EU/EEA (50 DKK) must be paid by the sender.
  2. Enter your name, block number, and room number in the message field to the recipient (e.g. Jonas B35V23).
  3. Send an email to musikforeningen@gmail.com with your name, block number, and room number.

Information regarding memberships is sent to the caretakers around the 1st and 15th of each month. It usually takes a couple of days after this before access is activated. To ensure access as quickly as possible, please transfer the payment no later than 2 days before the above-mentioned dates.

Practical Information

Access to the music room is gained using your black access chip. Access to the room is managed by the caretakers. The music room’s board is responsible for contacting the caretakers regarding access.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • No discounts are given.
  • All unpaid memberships are automatically terminated on 1 January and 1 July.

Rules

  1. Leave the music room in a tidy condition.
  2. Remove any waste.
  3. Organize cables.
  4. Turn off amplifiers, the PA system, etc.
  5. Release the snare drum strainer and loosen the hi-hat.
  6. Do not damage or otherwise misuse the instruments.
  7. Memberships are personal. It is not permitted to lend your access chip to others. Always bring your chip when using the music room.
  8. Smoking is strictly prohibited.
  9. If changes are made to the standard setup or tuning of, for example, the drums, these must be restored after use.
  10. The music room’s board may close the music room at any time and without prior notice, for example in connection with holidays, public holidays, cleaning, etc.
  11. Use of the music room’s equipment is at your own risk. Damage to equipment will result in liability for compensation.
  12. Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of membership. In special cases, the music room’s board may decide whether further exclusion is necessary
