Caretaker

There are five caretakers and one groundskeeper employed at the dormitory.

You will come to experience the caretakers from many different perspectives. They are required to carry out a range of inspection tasks assigned to them by the dormitory. For example, they check the cleanliness of the stairwells and conduct move-out inspections.

You are therefore obliged to comply with the requirements set by the dormitory’s staff.

You can contact the caretaker’s office during opening hours if you need advice and guidance about matters at the dormitory, or if something in your apartment is broken. The office is located in the Center Building.

The caretakers are responsible for activating chips for various activity rooms and for issuing keys for trolleys.

You can obtain/borrow the following from the caretaker:
Special light bulbs and fluorescent tubes for extractor hoods, ovens, etc. are issued. You can also borrow a drill, a trolley, and a key for the road barrier at the caretaker’s office.

Monday: 7.15 – 8.00 and 14.30 – 15.00
Tuesdy: 7.15 – 8.00 and 14.30 – 15.00
Wednesday: 7.15 – 8.00 and 13.30 – 14.00
Thursday: 7.15 – 8.00 and 13.30 – 14.00
Friday: 7.15 – 8.00 and 10.30 – 11.00

Thursday: 7.30 – 8.00
The furniture depot ligger i nr. 38.

If you call outside the caretaker’s working hours, you must contact the emergency numbers listed further down the page – please read the full instructions, as unnecessary calls will be charged to the resident.

If you need to make an appointment with the caretaker in order for him to do a repair work in your residence, you can do it via Min Side. Here you can among other things allow the caretaker to access your residence.

When do you call?

Locksmith service is called if there is a need to open the door to your room. Please note that if you have locked yourself out of the room/apartment, you must pay to be locked in by the locksmith.

Plumbing services are called if there are problems with lack of heat, hot water, cold water or burst water pipes.

A glazier is called if a window in a room is broken, for example due to a burglary.

Sewer service if sudden problems with drainage have occurred.

In case of a power failure – If the power goes out when an appliance is plugged in or the ceiling light is turned on, unplug it or turn off the switch. Then turn on the relay in the fuse group, perhaps change the fuse and then contact the heating engineer by email. (Avoid turning on the same thing again) The heating engineer will then repair the fault during normal working hours.
Unnecessary calls to an electrician outside of normal working hours will be charged to the caller. (The amount will usually be from 4000 DKK and upwards.)
