§1 Rental of the premises is only available to residents of Skelager Kollegiet. This means that the rental must be for events where the resident themselves is present, and not merely acting as an intermediary for friends, family, or acquaintances.
§2 To rent the premises, an email must be sent to skelagerkollegiet@gmail.com. The subject line must state the desired rental date. The email must include:
- Desired rental date
- Desired start time
- Full name
- Address
- Phone number where the tenant can be reached before and during the rental
Please note: If this information is not explicitly included, the Common House will not be reserved.
Subsection 2
For a rental to take place, a committee member must be present at Skelager Kollegiet during the rental period. See §4.
§3
The Common House is generally rented for a period of 23 hours.
§4
Reservations can be made no earlier than three months before the desired rental date. The Committee reserves the right to reject requests made with less than three weeks’ notice, as well as requests for dates when no committee members are present at Skelager Kollegiet. In particular, during the periods 1 July–15 August, Easter, and between Christmas and New Year, it cannot be guaranteed that committee members will be present.
Subsection 2
The Common House cannot be rented on December 24 or December 31.
Subsection 3
Cancellations must be made as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours before the rental period begins; otherwise, the rental fee will be charged.
Subsection 4
Other committees at Skelager Kollegiet, such as the Party Committee and the Board, may reserve the Common House as far in advance as they wish.
§5
The rental fee is 100 DKK plus a deposit of 1,000 DKK. Payment can be made in cash or via MobilePay to the Committee’s account (369568) when the key is handed over and the rental agreement is signed. This takes place at the start of the rental period, when the tenant meets with a committee member at the Common House. The deposit, which can be paid via MobilePay or in cash, will be returned when the keys are handed back (see §19). The rental fee is used for cleaning supplies and replacements due to normal wear and tear.

The deposit for borrowing a PlayStation 2 (including SingStar) or a Wii is 500 DKK (also in cash). In case of damage, the cost of repairs/replacement will be charged.
§7
The tenant must bring their own cloths and, if necessary, dish towels for cleaning.

It is possible to borrow the two grills belonging to Skelager Kollegiet, provided that both the grill and the grate are cleaned at the end of the rental. The committee member provides the grate, but the tenant must purchase charcoal and ensure that used charcoal is fully extinguished with water and disposed of in the general waste container before the rental ends.

By signing the rental agreement, the tenant confirms that they have read and accepted all regulations, will comply with them in full, and will cover any damages or cleaning costs exceeding the deposit. The tenant’s signature also serves as the Committee’s assurance that the tenant will inform their guests of the rules.

The tenant must be reachable by phone/SMS throughout the rental period at the number provided to the Committee and listed in the calendar. Other residents must be able to contact the tenant at this number, for example to make a complaint (see §17).
§11
According to the house rules of Skelager Kollegiet §5, smoking is not permitted on the premises. This includes indoor and outdoor common areas, stairways, balconies, etc. Smoking may take place on the sidewalk in front of or on the bike paths around the property. This also applies to guests.
§12
General consideration must be shown to other residents throughout the rental period, including particular care when outside the Common House.
§13
When using the sound system, windows and doors must be kept closed.
§14
From Sunday to Thursday, there must be quiet on the premises by 22:00 at the latest. If the house is used after this time, music and activity must be reduced to a level that does not disturb nearby residents.
§15
On Fridays and Saturdays, there must be quiet by 02:00 at the latest. If the house is used after this time, music and activity must be reduced accordingly.

The Common House may not be used for overnight stays.
§17
If disturbances are experienced, complaints can be made. For a complaint to be considered, the complainant must first have contacted the tenant directly. The tenant’s name and phone number are listed in the calendar. If the tenant ignores the complaint or fails to address it, the complainant may contact the committee member listed as the contact person, or another committee member.
Subsection 2
The Committee prefers complaints to be made by phone rather than SMS, especially late at night.
Subsection 3
A committee member may shut down a party after the third complaint (or after the second complaint during exam periods). In particularly serious cases, a party may be shut down after the first complaint.
§18
The Common House must be returned clean and tidy according to the checklist provided at key handover.
§19
A committee member will inspect the premises after the rental. If cleaning is insufficient or items are damaged, costs will be deducted from the deposit. The full deposit may be withheld until the extent of damages is assessed. If cleaning is still unsatisfactory after being asked to redo it, 400 DKK will be deducted. For extensive cleaning taking more than 3 hours, an additional 120 DKK per hour will be deducted.
§20
Violation of these rules may result in a warning, and in severe cases, a nine-month ban from renting. A second warning may result in permanent exclusion.
Subsection 2
A warning, ban, or exclusion requires a simple majority decision at a meeting (digital or physical) with at least two committee members present.
Subsection 3
The tenant must be notified in writing of any warning, ban, or exclusion no later than 14 days after the rental. The Committee decides whether a meeting with the tenant is necessary.
