Cleaning scheme

Cleaning inspection

Each floor has a cleaning schedule, and each room resident is responsible for cleaning either the hallway or the shared kitchen every fifth/sixth week. Which room is responsible for cleaning is shown in the cleaning schedule and follows a rotation system. This means that one week you clean the hallway, five/six weeks later you clean the shared kitchen, and so on.

Cleaning is checked every Monday morning between 07:15 and 08:00 by the caretaker. If the cleaning is not approved, the caretaker will make a note for the relevant week on the checklist in the cleaning room. If everything is in order, no note is made.

The amount for the missing cleaning will be automatically deducted from the next rent payment.

The cleaning takes a maximum of 1 to 2 hours, 9–10 times a year, so it is not an overwhelming workload. It should be emphasized that just because you are responsible for cleaning the kitchen in a given week does not mean that you are expected to do other people’s dishes.

Payment for unperformed cleaning

Payment for cleaning carried out by the external cleaning company will be charged together with the next month’s rent to the responsible resident.

Empty rooms

In cases where the room listed on the cleaning schedule is not occupied, no cleaning company will be called to carry out the missing cleaning.

Obligation

Remember that all residents are obliged to actively contribute to keeping the hallway and shared kitchen clean in accordance with the tenancy agreement and the maintenance regulations.

If you are dissatisfied with the cleaning inspection, you should contact the caretaker at mdn@kollegiekontoret.dk.

If you have suggestions for improvements to the scheme, they can be sent to the project and manager at aka@kollegiekontoret.dk.
