About Kollegiekontoret

Who are we?

Kollegiekontoret administers, maintains, and modernizes 29 youth housing departments, 1 privately owned dormitory, and 4 independent dormitories in and around Aarhus – a total of approximately 5,400 rental units.
As the need arises, we develop new and modern housing that meets our target group’s expectations regarding quality, price, and location.

We are located in central Aarhus, where the daily customer service for residents and housing applicants takes place. The office is the daily workplace for 24 employees. In addition, we employ around 30 caretakers, cleaning staff, and other service personnel.

Kollegiekontoret is a non-profit housing organization, organized as a guarantee organization. We are therefore subject to the legislation that applies to non-profit housing associations.

StudenthousingAarhus - a collaboration

Kollegiekontoret collaborates with other housing associations in Aarhus to let approximately 11,000 homes. The collaboration is called StudenthousingAarhus (in Danish: UngdomsboligAarhus).
Kollegiekontoret administers the allocation of all the homes on StudenthousingAarhus.com. In the descriptions of the individual homes on StudenthousingAarhus, it is stated which housing association each property belongs to.

The collaboration only applies to the application process. Once an applicant has accepted an offer for a home, the individual housing association takes over the administration of the property, including tenancy agreements, maintenance, and termination of the lease.
