Skejbygård Kollegiet

Welcome to Skejbygård Kollegiet, where you can rent a 1-room apartment. The hall of residence accommodate 128 students. Each apartment is approx. 26 m2 and has private kitchen and shower/toilet facilities. One of the greatest advantages of living at Skejbygård Kollegiet is the location close to many of the city’s educational institutions, which you can easily reach on a bicycle.

At the hall of residence, there are a handful of shared facilities, which can be used by all residents: A laundry room, a common room with a TV, board games, a storage room and a bar. Moreover, there is a bicycle shed and a parking area, a backyard with a basket ball and football field and barbecues for everyone to use. When you want to go to the city center you can take bus no. 1A or 6A.

Skejbygård Kollegiet consists of:
128 1-room apartments, approx. 28 m2.
Description: All apartments have private kitchen, shower and toilet. They are all unfurnished but with cabinets and window blinds. Each kitchen is placed in the living room and equipped with cabinets, cooking plates and an oven, as well as a fridge. Waiting time for an apartment here is approx. 7-12 months.
Rent: Depends on the rental type (more info by pressing “Apply for rental”).
Included in the rent: The use of water, heat and internet.
Smoking: Not allowed indoors.
Pets: Not allowed.

About the dorm

The Corridor

8 rooms share an entrance and a shared corridor. The corridor can be used as a common living space and gathering point for communal dinners, parties, etc. In addition, each corridor has notice boards informing residents about upcoming activities at the dormitory. However, for fire safety reasons, it is extremely important that the corridors are kept clear and tidy.

Each corridor has a freezer cabinet, where each resident has one compartment available if there is not enough space in the refrigerator freezer. The cleaning of the shared corridors is carried out professionally and is paid for through the rent.

Green areas

The dormitory is surrounded by large green areas. These include a fenced backyard with tables, benches, and a barbecue area. The dormitory also has its own basketball and football court.

There are also raised garden beds with flowers and various herbs, which residents are free to use. In addition, there are good opportunities for walks and spending time in the surrounding green areas.

Laundry

In the basement you will find the dormitory’s shared laundry room. There are 4 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers available for residents’ use 24/7.

The prices are 8.71 DKK per wash, including detergent, and 0.22 DKK per minute for tumble drying.

Connected to the laundry room there are also drying rooms with clotheslines and drying racks. Payment is made through a personal user account, which you will be informed about upon move-in.

Common room

It is possible to book the dormitory’s common room via the link below. Reservations cannot be made more than 6 weeks in advance, and must be made no later than 3 days before the desired date. Information about private events must be posted on the dormitory’s Facebook page no later than 2 days before the event date.

It is free to rent the common room. The rules for using the common room, as well as the rules regarding music, can be found in the resident handbook and must be read before using the common room. A guide on how to book can be found here (in Danish).

  • Each shared corridor has a storage room for shared use.

  • The dormitory has a lockable and covered bicycle shed, as well as a separate secured motorcycle parking area.

  • There is a parking lot with space for 30 cars.
