When do you call?

An electrical company is called if problems arise with lighting.

In case of a power failure – If the power goes out when an appliance is plugged in or the ceiling light is turned on, unplug it or turn off the switch. Then turn on the relay in the fuse group, perhaps change the fuse and then contact the heating engineer by email. (Avoid turning on the same thing again) The heating engineer will then repair the fault during normal working hours.
Unnecessary calls to an electrician outside normal working hours will be charged to the resident (the amount will usually be from 4,000 DKK and upwards).

Sewer services should be contacted if sudden problems with drains occur.

In case of drainage problems — if the drain is blocked and the sink, shower, or toilet cannot drain water properly, you should first try cleaning the drain or toilet yourself (it is your responsibility to maintain the drains during your tenancy).

Otherwise, a plunger is very effective for loosening any blockages in the drain.

It is not recommended to use the toilet or shower until the problem has been resolved. If you are unable to solve the drainage problem yourself, please send an email to the caretaker, who will arrange for it to be fixed on the next working day.

Unnecessary calls to sewer services outside normal working hours will be charged to the resident making the call (the amount will usually be from 4,000 DKK and upwards).
