Nørre Allé Kollegiet

Welcome to Nørre Allé Kollegiet, which contains 57 rooms for rent. Here each resident has his or her own room and private toilet/shower facilities. There are 15 corridors and all residents in a corridor share an entrance area and a kitchen. In the shared kitchen you can cook for yourself or meet up with the other residents for a cozy get-together. At the hall of residence, there is likewise a common room, which may be used by all residents to talk or simply just hang out.

The building is from 1994, and has been renovated continously since then, so it is in good condition. The location in the heart of Aarhus gives you the complete city experience – with the habor area, the shopping street and a handful of the city’s educational institutions only a stone’s throw away. There is a laundry room, a backyard and a limited number of parking spaces available for the residents to use. We hope, you will enjoy your stay here.

At Nørre Allé Kollegiet there are 57 rooms on each approx. 25 m2.
You share kitchen with 2-3 other people.
Description: The room is unfurnished except for window blinds. There is laminate flooring. Each resident has private toilet/shower facilities, and in the basement each corridor has a storage room, which can be used at one’s own risk.
Rent: Depends on the rental type (for more information press “apply for rental”).
Included in the rent: The use of water, heat and internet.
Smoking: Not allowed indoors and not allowed at the outdoor baconies. Residents, who move in after 1.7.2022 are not allowed to smoke in their rentals.
Pets: Not allowed.

About the dorm

Parking

The dorm has 8 parking spaces in the courtyard. The spaces are only for residents of the residence hall, and a parking permit must be clearly visible in the windshield before parking is allowed.

For bicycles, there is covered parking in the gateway, as well as covered and locked bicycle parking in the bicycle shed.

Outdoor areas

The dorm also has a nice green and enclosed courtyard, which is shared with Munkegade Kollegiet. It is a great place in the summer to enjoy the sun or grill a sausage.

In the bicycle shed next to the courtyard, there is a barbecue available for residents. There are also some outdoor games in the basement that residents may use, including croquet, pétanque, Viking games, etc. In addition, there is a limited number of parking spaces available.

Laundry room

In the basement, there are washing machines. A wash costs 10 DKK, which includes detergent and fabric softener. A tumble dryer costs 15 øre per minute. Next to the laundry room, there is also a drying room with strong ventilation, allowing clothes to dry in about 12 hours.

In the laundry area, there is also an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and various cleaning products available for borrowing.

The residence hall also has a hammer drill available for use to handle the thick concrete walls. Please see the notice in the basement for instructions on how to borrow it.

Common room

The common room in the basement is a lounge area for all residents. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, a bar counter, dining tables with seating for up to 30 people, sofas, a TV, a dartboard, table football, and various board games.
Rules for using the common room

Parties

The event committee consists of a group of residents who work together to organise a variety of fun and social events. Each year, events include a Christmas dinner, a summer party, and two “Tour de Chambre” events. In addition, theme parties, barbecue parties, and game nights have previously been held. Everyone who would like to participate is welcome, and ideas for new events are also very welcome. We look forward to seeing you at our events!
