Rental for parties
The common room can be rented for parties on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as on New Year’s Eve. However, it cannot be rented for parties more than once per weekend and a maximum of 3 times per month, excluding events organized by the event committee. The common room calendar shows when the room is already booked. If you wish to rent the room, you must contact the person responsible for the common room.
Renting the room for a party costs 100 DKK. In addition, a 400 DKK deposit must be paid. The rental period is from 16:00–02:00.
The common room is not considered rented until the 500 DKK has been paid and the rental contract has been signed with the responsible person. If more than one person requests the same weekend/month, the first to pay and sign the contract gets the room.
During exam months (May, June, December, and January), it is only possible to rent the common room for parties on Saturdays. New Year’s Eve is exempt.
The latest end time for parties is 02:00. At this time, silence must be observed and everyone must leave the common room. If there is still noise or people remain after 02:00, the full deposit will be withheld. It is not allowed to stay and talk or clean after 02:00, as even minimal activity disturbs residents living below the common room.
The end time may only be extended to 03:00 (04:00 on New Year’s Eve) if agreed in advance with all residents in apartments A22, A23, A24, B26, B27, and B28. This must also be agreed with the responsible person and stated in the contract. The residence’s own events for all residents may twice a year be extended until 04:00.
The common room and toilets must be cleaned and tidied no later than 14:00 the following day. Other shared areas (e.g. stairwells or outdoor areas) must also be cleaned if affected. The inspection is arranged with the responsible person. If the agreement is not followed (e.g. insufficient cleaning or damage), the deposit may be partially or fully withheld. Violation of the end time results in full loss of the deposit.
The deposit can be refunded no earlier than 14 days after the rental period, as residents have two weeks to submit complaints. The final decision on deposit deductions is made by the board.
Doors to the common room must remain closed to reduce noise. Guests must stay in the common room, as noise in other areas (e.g. stairwells) is not allowed. Smoking is not permitted in the common room, stairwells, or other indoor shared areas.
Rental for small gatherings
The common room can be rented for small gatherings up to twice per week. A small gathering must be quiet and non-disturbing. Renting the room gives you the right to have the common room to yourself—nothing more. The general house rules also apply. A small gathering may last a maximum of 6 hours.
The latest end time is 23:00. On Fridays and Saturdays, the room must be vacated by 24:00 at the latest. The room must be cleaned and tidied on the same day.
Renting for a small gathering costs 20 DKK. The room is not considered rented until the 20 DKK has been paid to the responsible person and the contract has been signed.
Any questions regarding rental of the common room can be directed to the person responsible for the common room.
