The Common House is rented out by the Common House Committee, which consists of volunteers from the dormitory. On this page, you can read the terms for renting the Common House, find additional information about the facilities, and see when the Common House is already booked.<\/p>\n
According to \u00a73 of the regulations below, a rental period is generally 23 hours. This means that the Common House is typically available again 24 hours after the start time of a booking. Even if a specific date is not shown in the calendar, the Common House may still be booked\u2014for example, if the committee has not yet updated the calendar. Therefore, changes to the calendar may occur.<\/p>\n
The rental fee is 100 DKK, plus a deposit of 1,000 DKK. Payment can be made in cash or via MobilePay.<\/p>\n

The Common House consists of a large room, kitchen, cloakroom, and toilet facilities. When you rent the Common House, you have access to the following:<\/p>\n

It is possible to join the Common House Committee throughout the year. If you are interested, you can post in the dormitory\u2019s Facebook group or attend one of the two annual residents\u2019 meetings, where at least one of us will usually be present.<\/p>\n
Within the committee, we share rental requests among ourselves, and each member only takes on as many as they have the time and capacity for (and we are generally good at helping each other out if someone has a booking but other plans come up). As a committee member, you should be prepared to attend a committee meeting approximately once every quarter or every six months, and to take on responsibilities such as checking the shared email, acting as a contact person during rentals, etc.<\/p>\n
As a committee member, you can list voluntary work on your CV, you gain a stronger sense of connection to the dormitory, and you also have the perk of being able to rent the Common House free of charge two to three times per year.<\/p>\n
